As part of the meeting, Alterbridge professor Lela Tsikarishvili spoke about the centuries-long and remarkable journey of the Georgian language, the challenges it faces, and its cultural and national significance. The discussion also touched upon Georgian identity as a particularly interesting phenomenon, distinguished among national identities by its continuity and resilience.

During the session, the speaker reviewed academic and scholarly sources from prominent authors such as Ilia Chavchavadze, Akaki Tsereteli, Ivane Javakhishvili, Grigol Khandzteli, Leonti Mroveli, Anthony Smith, and others.

The event, organized on the initiative of students, was conducted in an interactive format. Representatives of the university administration, as well as students and prospective applicants, actively participated.

Such meetings significantly contribute to raising students’ awareness, fostering an understanding of national values, and stimulating academic interest.
