Alterbridge University has been announced as one of the winners of the European Union’s 2025 ERASMUS+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education) competition.

The project – “Enhancing Research and Innovation Capacities in Georgian Higher Education Institutions” (ERIC-GE) – will foster international cooperation and expand academic opportunities. From Georgia, five projects were selected as winners, three of which will be implemented with coordinator status.

The consortium includes 5 higher education institutions from Georgia, along with 2 partner universities from across Europe.

The project will be coordinated by the “Techinformi” Institute of the Georgian Technical University, which, together with Georgian and European partner universities, will ensure the introduction of modern curricula and innovative educational programs.

The initiative represents a significant platform for the participating higher education institutions of the consortium to strengthen the research potential of academic staff, attract young researchers, and advance research activities in line with European standards.

Moreover, the project envisions the integration of innovations into research activities, which will in turn contribute to the development of the research infrastructure of the consortium members, including Alterbridge University, and play an important role in enhancing the motivation of both academic staff and students.
